This beautiful cycle tour starts at Gottenheim railway station and leads in a wide arc around the Kaiserstuhl vineyards. There is plenty of variety on the mostly paved cycle paths and agricultural roads through idyllic winegrowing villages, past orchards and vineyards and marvellous Rhine floodplain forests. Great views, charming cafés and restaurants and lovely rest stops await along the way.
The route is signposted throughout and it is always possible to change to the railway in between.
