Pure nature and lots of culture is what this beautiful circular route south of Freiburg im Breisgau says. The path leads through two smaller nature reserves (Jennetal and Vogelsang) and up the Schneeberg and Schönberg mountain ranges. The landscape that is so typical of the Black Forest is particularly appealing, with its magnificent fir trees, meadows and mountains. Traces of the earlier mining can be found at the "Grube Schönberg". A very special highlight is the more than 700-year-old ruins of the Schneeburg on the summit of the Schneeberg. You can take a good break between the two mountains with a stop at the Schönberghof. The route can be reached by bus and train (starting point: Freiburg-St. Georgen train station).
