This idyllic circular route starts at the Kaiserstuhlpfad at Ihringen railway station. The trail leads steadily uphill via the Hohlweg on natural paths to the Lössholweg. From there it goes to Bickensohl. There are marvellous views of the Vosges mountains along the way.
A wonderful speciality is the occurrence of 35 different orchid species in the Kaiserstuhl. Especially in May and June, hikers can marvel at the splendour of the flowers. The bee-eater, a tropical, colourful feathered bird, is also a special feature north of the Alps in the warm months.
