From the hikers' car park in Wildbad Kreuth (800m) head NE towards Kreuth. At the Schwaigeralm, turn right along the forest road heading SE to the Langenaualm (960m). From here a little steeper to the hunting lodge (1100m). Continue to Bayralm (1040m). From there, the route descends in a path-like manner, initially flowing, later somewhat steeply, to the Bairache. Cross a bridge to the opposite side and follow the Bairache downstream to the Erzherzog-Johann-Klause (814 m).
