A wonderful circular hike through Rudolstadt - Schiller's "secret lover". Start is at the Schiller Bridge on the Saale. It goes in an easterly direction, past the gondola station, to the Schillerhöhe and on to Heinrich-Heine Park and over the Saale. You should definitely take the time to discover the historic old town with its museums, castles and cafés. On the way back you will now reach the lower gondola station before returning to the starting point.
