Idyllic and varied loop near Friedrichroda, Thuringia.
The loop begins at the information board near the Hotel Walldschlösschen. First, a few meters of ascent are mastered. It goes through shady forest and a bit along the well-known Rennsteig. Along the way there are parts of historic bobsleigh runs - including the oldest bobsleigh and racing sled run in Germany. From the mountain inn Heuberghaus it finally goes into the "Kühle Tal" ("cool valley ")- a very beautiful route with a small stream and waterfall.
The route is marked with a green triangle. At the end, there are drinks, cake or warm food in the Waldschlösschen and there are also opportunities to stop off on the way.
