Pure nature is the name of the game on this loop. After passing under the A1 motorway, the trail leads through the Scharbeutz Heath and the protected forests in the Pönitz lake district. Later, the trail follows the shore of the Großer Pönitzer lake for just over a kilometre. In the warm summer months, the lido lures into the cooling waters and there is a café there for a refreshment stop.
