This route follows in the footsteps of "Landarzt" and takes you to the various filming locations of the popular ZDF series.
The tour starts at the tourist information office in Süderbrarup. The "Süderbrarup" train station is very close by, making it easy to get there by public transport.
The easy and flat path leads next to Boden to St. Mary's Church - a 13th century building. The film country doctor Dr. Matthiesen is buried in the church cemetery.
The route continues along the Schlei to the Lindauhof estate. A large part of the series is filmed here on this picturesque estate. Next up is a curiosity that deserves a mention away from the TV series. Not far from the route is Bad Arnis, the smallest town in Germany.
But the next Landarzt highlight is not long in coming either. Also slightly off the route is the small Holländerhof farm in Wagersrott, where the herbal doctor Hinnerksen lives in the series. This is actually a small local history museum. So it is well worth a visit either way.
There are nice places to stop for refreshments along the way and at the starting point.
