Grenzroute Etappe 2: Ladelund - Flensburg

This route follows stage 2 of the Border Route (Grenzroute), connecting Ladelund with the port city of Flensburg on a cross-border section rich in nature and history. The cycling tour leads through the impressive Fröslev-Jardelunder Moor nature reserve, which offers insights into this rare marsh landscape via a nature trail. On the way to Flensburg, cyclists pass through Padborg before reaching their destination in the historic maritime city, which invites visitors to explore its museums, harbor, and charming old town. Overnight stays are available in guesthouses in Ladelund and Medelby, or in the numerous hotels in Flensburg; carrying a passport is mandatory as the German-Danish border is crossed 13 times. Refreshments can be found in the villages along the route as well as in the diverse restaurants of Flensburg.
