Kammweg Erzgebirge-Vogtland Stage 14: Schöneck - Eichigt

This route follows stage 14 of the certified "Kammweg Erzgebirge-Vogtland" premium trail, connecting Schöneck with Eichigt on a challenging section through the Vogtland region. The hike begins at the IFA Ferienpark in Schöneck and leads through forested hilltops, partly running along the famous Vogtland Panorama Weg®. Passing the medieval church in Wohlbach, the trail descends into the scenic White Elster Valley and goes directly through the town of Adorf. Here, the Botanical Garden, the "Klein Vogtland" miniature exhibition, and the Perlmutter interactive museum offer perfect cultural detours. The route continues through the restored Tetterweinbach Valley and Gettengrün—the birthplace of the famous illustrator Erich Ohser (e.o.plauen)—before reaching its destination. Hiker-friendly accommodations and cozy local restaurants are available in Schöneck, Adorf, and Eichigt; wild camping is prohibited. The starting point in Schöneck and the town of Adorf are well-connected to public transit via the Vogtlandbahn train network, while Eichigt is accessible via regional bus lines; schedules are available through local transit networks.
