This circular route follows the route of the sports hike of the Dresden winter tour "Through Karswald, Hüttertal and Dresdner Heide". The hike starts in Weißig, and continues over the Hutberg and along the Ullersdorf golf course. The path leads along meadows and fields to the Wallroda dam and on over the Silberberg. The last section of the route leads through the Dresdner Heide: The name is a bit misleading, because it consists mostly of mixed forests and dune-like sand deposits, formed in the Saale and Elster glaciers.
