Varied, natural circular hike near Dresden, Saxony.
This extensive hike starts in Kreischa and leads via Hermsdorf and Hirschbach first to the Croatian Gorge. We continue through deep forests and wide fields to the Finckenfang vantage point, the Maxen natural stage and past Maxen Castle. The path leads through the Müglitz Valley and the Niederschlottwitz nature reserve: the area is famous for its old yew trees, impressive cliffs and juniper bushes. There are also numerous native wild flowers and herbs to be found here. Every now and then you can catch a glimpse of the numerous wild animals that have made the forest their home. The circular hike continues over the Grauberg, the Peschelmühle and via Schmorsdorf and Maxen back to the starting point.
