Varied hiking trail in the Harz National Park, Saxony-Anhalt.
This beautiful route leads through the wooded landscape in the west of Ilsenburg. There are several beautiful viewpoints and impressive rock formations there. The most famous among them might be the huge Frog Rock. Near it is also the stamp station No. 5 for the Harzer Wandernadel. On the southern slope of the Westerberg is the Westerbergklippe, which can be accessed via a staircase. The tour thus combines some popular hiking destinations in the national park. The beautiful panorama over the Rohntal and the Ilsetal, are to be marveled at as well as the Brocken in the far distance. Accessible by bus and train as well as by car.
