The trail begins at Postweiher and passes Brinkenweiher and Dreifelder Weiher, winding through the natural paradise of the Westerwald Lake District. Hikers follow the Wied River upstream to its source near Linden before beginning the ascent to Gräbersberg, whose observation tower offers sweeping views of the surrounding landscape.
