The route starts at the Saupferch car park and leads south of Bad Dürkheim over hilly forest paths through the Palatinate Forest Nature Park to the Drachenfels. There are numerous caves on the Drachenfels that invite you to visit them. Next to these you can enjoy the view. The path continues to the Waldhaus Lambertskreuz, where you can stop for refreshments (note the opening times). However, this part of the route can also be omitted.
