Excitingly beautiful hiking route in the Southern Eifel Nature Park.
A very nice route that starts at the Waldhotel Sonnenberg in Boliendorf. The Maria Theresa Stone, which used to mark the border between Vianden and Echternach as a historical boundary stone, was erected in 1771 and is named after Empress Maria Theresa. On the 1 meter high stone you can still find the coat of arms of the "Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation". Otherwise, on the way you will find magnificent forest with impressive soil and rock formations, such as the Green Hell, the Eulen-Horst and the Kreuzlay viewing rock. There are places to stop for refreshments at the start and end of the route.
