The botanical nature trail goes through the Schalkenbach valley up to the legendary Jungfrauley (rock). According to legend, a mischievous maiden froze to stone here due to her wickedness. The trail leads over the Schalkenbach stream up to the Meyersruh rest area and from there through the Schalkenbach valley to the Hohl-Ley, a stalactite cave. Finally, the trail leads through the Altburgbach valley back to the Schönecker Schweiz hiking parking lot. If there is energy left, a detour to Schönecken Castle can be added at the end.
