Stage 4 of the "Palatinate Forest Path" long-distance hiking trail, Rhineland-Palatinate.
This is the fourth stage of the certified quality trail "Palatinate Forest Path", which leads from Kaiserslautern through the Palatinate Forest to the German Wine Gate in Schweigen-Rechtenbach. The starting point of this section is in Heltersberg and the stage destination is at the Hilschberghaus near Rodalben. Panoramic mountain ranges, an imposing rock, a Roman mountain fortification system, a place of pilgrimage with St. Mary's grotto as well as wonderful open landscapes towards the end of the hike make this stage a very varied one. There are places to stay overnight and restaurants.
