The starting point of this beautiful hike is the parking lot behind the train tracks. However, the route can also start at Bingen main station (accessible by bus and train). From there the route leads into the idyllic valleys of the Kreuzbach and Morgenbach, although the first part of the route is quite steeply uphill. Fantastic views of the Rhine open up from some unforested viewing points. There are several forest inns along the route (refreshments available).
