Magnificent marathon route near Koblenz, Rhineland-Palatinate.
Very experienced runners will be enthusiastic about this demanding but also very beautiful route. The start is near the Oberwerth sports club at the CGM Arena. It goes to the Laubachtal hiking car park, which is located in the Koblenz city forest. Here you pass various springs, including the Königsbach. Technically not always easy: there are a few short climbs to overcome. The panorama, on the other hand, is unbeatable and the forest idyll offers the perfect setting. A large loop leads between the settlement of Siebenborn and Osterspaier Wald parallel to the Rheinuferstraße to Braubach, past the Koppelsstein-Helmestal nature reserve on the left. Continue along the beautiful Rhine via Koblenz-Stolzenfels and on the right past the entire Lahnstein area to Königsbach. The final sprint of this marathon then stops at the starting point in the Oberwerth stadium.
