Diverse loop hiking trail in the Palatinate Forest Nature Park, Rhineland-Palatinate.
There are two natural wonders and three castle ruins on this circular route, which can easily be hiked in two to three day stages. The ruins of Diemerstein Castle, built before 1216, and the 12th-century Frankenstein Castle ruins are both close to Frankenstein. Later there is a small detour to the ruins of Beilstein Castle (12th century), in the immediate vicinity of which there is also the natural monument Totenköpfchen. There are overnight accommodations in Fischbach and Frankenstein.
