This route introduces you to the beautiful Siebengebirge Nature Park. From Buchholz, the route initially heads south through small villages and wide open fields. Finally you reach woodland. The route then alternates between dense greenery, wide open spaces and beautiful streams. The breathtakingly beautiful countryside offers wonderful views and cool forest air. On the way back, the Pfaffenbach stream accompanies the route for a good stretch. The trail leads along the River Wied via Neustadt to Eilenberg and the ruins of Ehrenstein Castle. This is not an easy route, but it is particularly beautiful and there are delicious places to stop for refreshments.
