Stage 5 of the "Ausoniusweg" long-distance hiking trail, Rhineland-Palatinate.
The fifth stage of the Ausoniusweg is almost 20 km long and leads in the footsteps of the Roman poet Ausonius from Bingen to Trier through the Hunsrück.
The route begins in the small village of Gräfendhron and ends in Fell. Both places have bus connections. Compared to the other sections, you walk through a lot of forests on this stage. A detour to the Schinderhanneshöhle, which is very close to the route, is recommended.
At the end of the stage, there are some places to stay overnight as well as restaurants.
