Wonderful loop in the Eifel Nature Park, North Rhine-Westphalia.
A beautiful loop in the Eifel, which leads along the former "Siegfried Line", to the forest chapel and to one of the largest daffodil meadows in the Eifel. The hike is particularly beautiful between March and May, when the wildflowers are in full bloom! The daffodil blossom in the Oleftal valley is legendary and was once sponsored by Loki Schmidt. A memorial stone on the path today commemorates the wife of the former chancellor.
The start is at the "Hollerather Knie" hiking parking lot. The route leads to the southern shore of the Oleftal dam and through the beautiful nature park.
