This beautiful forest hike has a lot of variety to offer and leads from Schevenhütte to the Wehebachtalsperre dam. Then we walk along the dam wall, which offers a great view of the imposing tower in the lake, to the castle hill. After a few curves, the route follows the “Rennweg” rising to the right.
Crossing the Schwarzenbroich stream, go straight ahead to the ruins of the Schwarzenbroich monastery and then through the Meroder forest back to the starting point.
