The third stage of the Siegerland-Höhenring begins in Burbach / Lippe and leads up and down: up to the Trödelsteinen and the Hohenseelbachskopf nature reserve, from the "Mahlscheid" nature reserve down to Herdorf, up to the Druidenstein and back down to Herkersdorf. So by the time you get to Freusburg, you have overcome a few meters in altitude. You can fortify yourself in the café at the castle and spend the night in the youth hostel.
