The first stage of the Siegerland-Höhenring starts at the SGV hiking trail board. You hike through lush forests and to the Hohenroth forester's house (from here you can take the former Wittgensteiner Kohlestraße to the forest nature trail and to the Ederquelle). Along the Jagdberg, it then goes on the border with Hesse up to the height of Hainchen.
