Stage 3 of the long-distance hiking trail "Römerkanal-Wanderweg", North Rhine-Westphalia.
This is the third stage of the varied, around 115 km long Roman Canal hiking trail, which follows the course of a canal constructed by the Romans in the 1st century from Nettersheim through the Hohes Venn-Eifel Nature Park to Sülz.
The third stage starts in Dottel and the section ends in Kreuzweingarten. Wonderful forests, wonderful views and the remains of mighty buildings such as the Heidentempel near Kreuzweingarten make this only 13 km long hike a real pleasure.
There are places to stay overnight and restaurants. The route can be reached by bus and train.
