This route overcomes 2,240 meters in altitude on an 86 km ride, so the condition must be very good. With the exception of Letmathe and near Lüdenscheid, the streets are very quiet. With almost every ascent, the incline exceeds 10% and often 15%. Some more specific information on certain sections of the road: The road from Lauenscheider Mühle to Heedfeld is partly a private road, but part of a cycle path network that is accessible to cyclists. At the top in Heedfeld you have to cross the L561 into Rosenweg (there is a sign that this street is a dead end, but that does not apply to cyclists: after 100 m the street is closed to traffic over some posts). Some roads have poorer road surfaces. In a descending direction (following the path counter-clockwise) this applies to the road between Ober-Hunscheid and Fuelbecker Talsperre as well as between Pillingsen and Untergrüne. In the ascent direction, this applies to the road to Rummenohl to Mühlhagen and for the lower part of the ascent to Grossendrescheid.
