Beautiful loop in the Bergisches Land, North Rhine-Westphalia.
Start at the car park at the Roderbirken clinic. The "Roderbirken" bus stop is also nearby. The route leads to Roderhof and Dierath and then along the Wupper and across the river at Fähr. In Wupperhof, the Wupper is crossed again and the route follows the other bank of the Wupper back to the ascent opposite the village of Oberrüden. After this steep climb, the route continues through the forest along the slope until the L 359 is reached. Unfortunately, it is necessary to walk along the road for about 600 metres until a turn to the left leads onto the St. Heribert path. The trail descends into the forest and passes the cemetery of the small church. The Weltersbach valley is soon reached. Follow this until the last steep ascent that leads back to the starting point.
Along the way, it is possible to stop off at Haus Rüden, Landhof Ferres and Haus Rüdenstein.
