On this lovely hike, beautiful forest paths alternate with field paths. From time to time, the courses run alongside babbling brooks. The hike's highlight, however, is the two historic villages of Gruiten and Schöller. The walk begins in Gruiten. The town is known for its half-timbered houses, the Protestant church, and the fortified tower "Am Quall."
From there, the trail leads through the Oberholz to Schöller. Interesting there is the oldest church in Wuppertal and the defense tower of the former castle; through the Grube 7 recreation area and via Pütt, the route returns to the starting point.
