The Gersteinweg, named after Friedrich Gerstein, district administrator of the district of Hagen from 1822, begins at Gerstein's residence: Haus Dahl. The Dahler Heimatmuseum is very close by. The entire route includes many historical sites. You walk over the old Volmebruecke, past the Ambrock ring wall system and the site of the former wall castle "Sieben Graeben". The Gersteinweg ends at the medieval Hohenlimburg Castle, the former ancestral seat of the County of Limburg.
