The path consists mostly of wide, well-developed forest roads or asphalt; rather seldom does a short stretch lead along a narrow path. If you start the path on the north side (i.e. first to the Wiehenturm), then the steepest and most strenuous part comes at the end. You can also easily turn the tour around, which makes it a little more convenient.
A detour to Limberg Castle is highly recommended.
Due to its length, this route requires a basic level of fitness, but no prior knowledge is required. The whole way is well signposted with the yellow "E". A good starting point is the Schwarzer Brink car park, where there is also a hiking map.
