The Amshausen A3 circular route starts at the Friedrichshöhe hiking car park. For short sections, the circular route runs along roads with little traffic. The last good kilometer leads through the Jakobsberg nature reserve. The Jakobsberg is also known as "Liverwort Mountain" because of the rare liverworts that occur here. During the flowering period (from around mid-March) it can get a little crowded around the Jakobsberg.
