From the starting point, it goes south around the airport. You follow the Tarpenbek to the Eppendorfer Mühlenteich. Over the Borsteler Bridge and through Hayns Park, you have reached the Alster. This is crossed at the Winterhuder Bridge. It continues along the riverbank in a southerly direction, where the Outer Alster Lake is reached at the level of the Eichenpark. The route then leads back over the Alster foreland to get back to the starting point on the other side of Hamburg Airport. Accessible by bus and train.
