Warnowtal - Eickdorf

Idyllic nature trail in Mecklenburg-West Pomerania. Start is near Sternberg, not far from the breakthrough valley of the Warnow and Mildenitz in the nature reserve of the same name. In front of the hiker is a good 2 1/2 hour stretch through the wonderful Sternberger lake landscape. In the beginning, the Warnow is still a narrow river, before it becomes a larger river at Klein-Raden, which finally leads into the Unterwarnow. It continues through the town of Klein-Raden, always north through the beautiful landscape and past the natural village of Eickhof. The way back is started on the bridge over the Warnow, always on the village road, which is surrounded by trees and provides cool shade, as does the forest later, through which it continues. Highlights: The natural village of Eickhof can be used as a holiday camp and rest stop. There is a riding station and a canoe rental. The primary concern of the facility is to introduce children to nature, also to show them how worthy it is to protect it.
