The Schweriner See loop is without a doubt one of the most beautiful long-distance hiking trails in northern Germany. The first stage of the 60 km long loop starts at Schwerin Castle (or alternatively at the Schwerin train station) and ends in Lübstorf. You could spend hours in the capital of Mecklenburg-West Pomerania, there are so many interesting buildings to be admired here. But the hiking trail calls and so you soon walk along the Ziegelsee and the Schweriner See to the stage destination (overnight stays and refreshment stops). The route can be reached by bus and train.
