Weserbergland-Weg Stage 7: Stadtoldendorf - Bodenwerder

This route follows the 7th stage of the Weserbergland Trail and connects Stadtoldendorf with Bodenwerder—the town famous for Münchhausen—along a stretch rich in both cultural and scenic attractions. From Stadtoldendorf, the trail first leads to the historic Amelungsborn Monastery with its impressive medicinal herb garden, before crossing the rolling hills known as the “Tuscany of the North.” A highlight is the climb up the Ebersnackenturm, which offers a sweeping panoramic view, followed by a hike over the Vogler ridge to the Königszinne viewpoint, from where the descent leads directly to Bodenwerder on the Weser. Accommodations are available in the hotels and guesthouses of Stadtoldendorf or Bodenwerder; wild camping is prohibited. In Bodenwerder, the Münchhausen Museum and the historic old town invite visitors to explore.
