Varied bike tour in East Friesland, Lower Saxony.
It starts in Wittmund, turn left off the main road in the direction of Funnix and then left again before Funnix via the Harle. Then turn left again onto Funnixer Straße and to Buttforde, there north (turn right) to Werdum. It is possible to visit Edenserloog Castle - the only surviving chief's castle from the 14th century. The Werdum mill and the East Frisian coastal brewery in Werdum are also worth seeing. For animal lovers there are several animal enclosures in Werdum and also a petting meadow, not far from the spa gardens. It goes on to the coast of the Harlesieler Watts and south again. Via Carolinensiel, Neu- and Altfunnixsiel it goes back to the starting point.
