Sixth stage of the varied long-distance hiking trail Harzer BaudenSteig in the Harz Mountains in Lower Saxony. This last stage of the popular Harzer BaudenSteig long-distance hiking trail leads from Wieda to Walkenried. The route leads along beautiful forest and field paths through the former GDR border area. On the way you will come across numerous cultural and historical sights.
