Stage B of the long-distance cycle route "Elberadweg", Lower Saxony.
This section of the popular river bike trail along the Elbe begins in Freiburg (Elbe). From here it goes to Grünendeich, in the northern foothills of the Alte Land, where the Lühe flows into the Elbe.
After a good 40 km, it is worth taking a break in beautiful Stade to visit the old town, which is well worth seeing, and to fortify yourself in one of the many nice restaurants or cafés.
This route runs on the left side of the river Elbe. A ride on the eastern side (right bank) is also possible.
