This stage of the beautiful Elbe Cycle Path starts at the mouth of the Elbe in Cuxhaven and ends upstream in Freiburg. The Elbe Cycle Path is not only one of the most popular long-distance cycle routes in Germany, but also one of the best-developed cycle paths. This route runs along the left bank of the Elbe. It is also possible to cycle on the eastern side (right bank). There are places to stop for refreshments and overnight accommodation.
