This was driven into the mountain shortly after the end of World War I, but the slate quarrying was stopped after a short time. A little later you reach the border on the height between the district "Lazy Side" and the "Hermannsberg". In this area, there should have often been disputes with the neighbors from Puderbach, which were mostly about forest or hunting levels. Here you can rest on a seating group. Approximately 50 m to the left there is a beautiful view of Wittgenstein Castle above Bad Laasphe. The Weidenblattweg continues to the right and leads in a few turns through beautiful beech forest below the "Hermannsberg" to the district "Rödcheshain". Here, at the highest point of the circular route (518m above sea level), it meets the Eichenblattweg and there is time to relax at the “table and benches” rest area. In addition, the "White Quarry" invites you to discover and linger. Gravel was mined there until the 1950s, which was used for road construction and in the ironworks in the area. There are also beautiful views of the mountains around the Hainbach valley and the bagpipe. From the "Rödcheshain" you can also continue very beautifully towards "Didoll" or to the "Puderburg" (mountain above Puderbach with summit cross and summit book). From here, the Weidenblattweg continues to the right towards Wallau and runs approx. 300 m parallel to the Eichenblattweg. At first relatively flat, but soon falling moderately steeply, the path goes along the "Höllenstein" and soon reaches the district "Auf dem Hahnrod" with a large wind-throwing area through hurricane Kyrill and a view of "Gehnberg" and "Lange Hardt". In earlier times (Middle Ages) there was supposed to be a court here. The Weidenblattweg leads further down the valley, past the "Ferdinand-Fries-Eiche" (named after a Wallau district forester from 1945-1965) to Wallau. On the section between "Rödcheshain" and Wallau there are always wonderful views of the Adelsbach valley, later also of the Lahn valley and Perftal to Breidenbach. Wallau can be reached again on the street "Am Steinacker" with a beautiful view of the beautiful Hainbach valley. To the right, always along the edge of the forest, later through the field above the large sports hall and school you go back to the starting point at the indoor swimming pool car park.
