The volcano cycle path starts in Altenstadt-Höchst and initially follows the Nidder in a north-easterly direction via Ortenberg to Lißberg. We continue to the volcanic town of Gedern, where you can either visit the historic castle with the castle park or cool off in the Gedern lake. On the last part from Gedern to Grebenhain you have to climb a few meters, but you will be rewarded with a great view of the Vogelsberg.
