Popular circular hiking trail in the Rhein-Taunus Nature Park, Hesse
With a length of over 20 km, this is a very sporty route right at the gates of Wiesbaden. After leaving the field paths around Schierstein behind you, you take the quieter forest paths to the Schläferkopf, where there is a forest restaurant and a historic observation tower (refreshment stops and great views over the Taunus and Wiesbaden). Also recommended for mountain bikers. Accessible by bus and train.
This route was revised in May 2021 to avoid cross-country passages.
