There are quite a few meters in altitude to conquer on this somewhat challenging tour. However, the GO1 route is easily manageable for hobby cyclists with a little practice. The starting point of the route is the Germaid-Fitz-Platz at the town hall in Gorxheimertal. Via the Weinheim district, you reach the Höhenweg in the direction of Oberflockenbach, where the first descent into the Gängelbach valley soon follows.
You pass pastures and orchards, the Eichelberg and the Heiligkreuzsteinach district. The route continues past the "Galgenbusch", from where there is a fantastic view of the Rhine plain as far as the Palatinate Forest. Another fun descent is followed by the ascent to the natural monument "Teufelstein", the highest point of the tour at 480 meters. Great views and some fast downhill sections accompany you back to Gorxheimertal.
