This route is a certified premium hiking trail that leads into the secluded area along the state border with Thuringia. Nine beautiful viewpoints are climbed, beech forests are hiked through and steep descents are mastered. The botanical diversity of this region is particularly exciting.
Due to the gradient and the high proportion of paths on the entire route, a good level of fitness is recommended. The yellow "P4" shows hikers the way.
This trail can be reached by bus and train. From Eschwege town station, take bus no. 235 (note: runs infrequently) or a cab to the Hitzelrode stop.
