Popular MTB tour in the UNESCO Geo-Nature Park Bergstrasse-Odenwald, Hesse. The loop leads at the beginning and end through the beautiful old town of Michelstadt (refreshments available). Uphill it is mainly on forest roads, downhill there are numerous trails that are only used by bikers. After leaving Michelstadt, the trail leads past the Gräsich and the old limestone quarry. Here the Kirchberg trail is reached before passing the Stockheimer Eiche over the Kilians trail, the Hermann temple (great view over the middle Odenwald), the Kreuzweg trail and the Viehtrieb-Trail in the direction of the forest swimming pool. This is followed by a first longer ascent up to the Ritterstein Trail, where it goes straight downhill for 2 km (switchbacks and also small jumps). After another uphill to the Habermannskreuz car park (alternative starting point), the highest point of the route is reached. Finally, several fun downhill trails follow: The Silvan Trail (roller coaster-like flow), the Wurzel Trail (very uneven), the Enge Ding (alpine feeling), the Mühlgrund Trail (nature pump track), the Ottshütten trail and finally the almost 2 km long Schwimmbad trail.
