The starting point of this wonderful hike is the Hohemark train station (reachable by bus and train). Accompanied by the babbling of the Urselbach, the path leads through the heathland, birch and coniferous forests of the Altkönig nature reserve to the White Wall. The impressive quartzite field was formed during the last ice age and owes its name to the fact that the boulders glow white when the sun shines on them. Halfway there is a nice rest stop.
