Very nice loop near Frankenberg, Hesse
The start is at the Mühlgraben, close to the Eder, the most important left tributary of the Fulda. The path leads south, later south-east, always along the flowing water. It goes right past the Frankenberg wildlife park to Schreufa through the Nuthe valley with easily accessible paths. There is a magnificent view of both the valley itself and the river. The return route leads back to the starting point via Viermünden. There are places to stop for refreshments in the vicinity of the route.
